The material of the inhomegeneity has a slighly higher melting temperature than the matrix. The heating stage HCS402 was used in this experiment. The dual heater thermal stage hence offers a way to study the melting phenomena's of various matrixes in an extremely controled manner alowing a more in depth analysis of the respective  material.
